This morning, our Year 12 Student Leaders reenacted the Stations of the Cross at St Joseph’s Parish, Rockdale. It was a moving display of the events in Jesus’ journey to the cross. Many thanks to Father Yacub for inviting MCK to play a meaningful part in the Parish on such a significant day in the Church's Liturgical Calendar.

Year 12 Investigating Science students spent a fantastic day at Bundeena last Friday participating in the Gumaraa Aboriginal Experience. The students were shown specific plants with uses ranging from soap, body paint and deodorant to snake deterrents and snake whistles. They were also taught how to weave fishing line and shown Aboriginal artefacts from the past. This was a truly engaging and authentic experience that provided students with insight into First Nations knowledge systems related to the natural environment.

On Monday 24 March, the Year 10 Photography and Digital Media class attended an excursion with Sydney Photography Workshops as part of their 100 hour elective. Led by award winning Photographers Daniel Linnet and Glenn Lockitch, students took part in a workshop and photo walk focusing on photography fundamentals and street photography as a genre. Students explored the variety of architecture around Circular Quay and The Rocks building their skills in composition, exposure and camera techniques.
