Our school climbed an impressive 30 places to secure a position in the top 150 in The Sydney Morning Herald rankings, placing 130th across the state.
This incredible achievement was underpinned by 92 Distinguished Achievers, three All Rounders, and one Top Achiever, with 33 per cent of students achieving an ATAR above 85.
Marist College Kogarah Principal David Forrester congratulated Year 12 on their fantastic effort and achievements.
“I was very pleased and proud of this hard-working group of young men. They have shown remarkable commitment and resilience throughout their HSC journey.
“We celebrated some standout achievements this year: Nick Sebolino had his artwork included in the SCS showcase, and Gabriel Shopovski-Hau was selected for the Class of 2025 Art Rules Exhibition at Hazelhurst Art Centre. In addition, our students achieved 20 Band 6 results in Advanced Mathematics, and the average ATAR for the cohort was above 80.
“The key to our HSC success has been a strong culture of learning, driven by an experienced team of teachers. Careful tracking and monitoring of student progress has supported all students to maximise their potential.
“What impresses me most about the Class of 2025 is that they were a diligent and cohesive group who remained focused for the entirety of the HSC journey. Their commitment to each other and to achieving personal excellence has been inspiring.
“These accomplishments reflect the dedication of both students and staff, as well as the supportive and challenging learning environment at Marist College Kogarah,” Mr Forrester said.
